Summer 2014 Daytime & Nighttime Necklace by Becky Pancake

"My daytime piece was inspired by the cultured sea glass itself. I was drawn to the beachy feel of it. I wanted something fun and summery. When I finished my necklace my sister had to have it. She wanted earrings too so we designed them together. I also made earrings for her friend Willy, who I connected with at her daughter's wedding. When I ordered my colors I envisioned the olive green and black together but, when they arrived the beads said they wanted to be on their own. I have always thought that black and gold were elegant and classy together. The focal for my night necklace was a single earring from my dear friend Judy who passed away earlier this year. I would wear this piece to a dressy event."
