ZNETSHOWS has a booth at the To Bead True Blue retail gemshow (Jan 29-Feb 3) and the Tucson Bead Show wholesale show (Feb 4-6). Hundreds of customer came to check out our newest sea glass, base metal, and Tiaria crystals.
Here's an update on what happened:
Jan 26th - 7 pallets arrive at the hotel with all our goodies in them!
We have to sort them out, but there was no space, so we rented a storage unit and had to drive the boxes (all 300 of them) to a nearby location to do the sorting.
Poor Rob trying to finish the sorting before the show started. We somehow pulled off the impossible and got all the boxes (with a few hiccups) to the right places.
With saws and power tools ready, we finished building the walls and pegboards for the set up. Some strong local help ensured we were time. Thank Jesse and Gabbi!
Almost ready! We couldn't believe that set up was almost done by 10Am the 29th. It was a miracle!
Rob putting finishing touches on our pendants display. We were able to get most of our jewelry out, but a nearby vendor offered to make necklaces and we actually sold three of them right off the tree.
Our centerpiece: the metal manzanita tree from Bill's wedding. It was sold to another vendor almost immediately, but she let us use it for the remainder of the show. We have more - just contact us for more information.
Our set up featured 4 tables covered in sea glass and a 3 inch lip around the entire thing so they wouldn't fall off the tables. We built 3 walls with pegboard and 2x4's just for the show.
The first day of the show was a blur with hundreds of people checking out the newest vendor. A blogger came by and took pictures for her blog. Other curious vendors also bought things. We were unable to convince anyone that our sea glass was from the rare Arizona beachfront, but they bought it all the same...
Rob and I picking oranges at the hotel. They even gave us a picker once they saw us trying to hit them with sticks.
Our mixed sea glass colors. Most of these sold out early, so I wanted to take a picture for other customers.
All the pendants we had. The small ones sold out almost immediately (one lady bought about 400 pcs the first 2 days then came back and cleaned us out later)
Boohoohoo.... cleaning up after the last day of the show.
Put all the unsold items into boxes. Some other vendors actually bought out all the sea glass on the tables, so we don't even have any loose strands left.
All gone! Get them online!
Three pallets to our MD warehouse of leftovers and one pallet to a customer.
Time to celebrate with a meaty feast!
Bill and Rob going hiking in Tucson. Enjoying the 75 degree February weather. Bill is looking for some of that rare Arizona beach sea glass.
Rob and Bill at the top of the hill. Behind them is Tucson and if you look really hard over Bill's right shoulder, you can see the Doubletree hotel about 5 miles away.
The cactuses grow much bigger here.
Rob's souvenir shark's teeth and oranges get a closer inspection at the TSA line in Tucson airport. Apparently nothing was wrong, just wanted to be sure...
